Mumford & Sons – Sigh No More Lyrics 12 years ago
I love this! I am a huge fan of Much Ado and Mumford and Sons and I think they just fit together perfectly. It makes me happy every time I hear the song.

Quick note though, the lines "You know me" I more likened to the first act (I think, it may be Act II) when Beatrice says to or at Benedick "I know you of old." (At least I think those are the lines, I don't have the play open in front of me.) But the repetition could definitely refer to that passage in Act V as well.

Also, the only one who says "pure" in the play is Claudio, who is consistently fixated on Hero's purity. Benedict does mentioned a women's virtuosity, but only in the sense that if were attached, he would "cheapen" it. In this way, his heart isn't pure because it would tarnish a virtuous women's reputation.

Anyway. Thanks for this great comment!
