| I think this songs is more like an excuse to a girl. She was trying to help a guy, even though it turned her world upside down, but he let her down anyway. It seems that she never got through to him because it didn’t seem to have any meaning to him and he doesn’t look hurt by their fight/break up. He thinks that she was too good for him and he feels that he can’t be saved (couldn’t be from the beginning) while he fades/falls away. | |
