| Hang in there, bud. Life's funny how it works because I was browsing through songs trying to find if someone had the same experience, and lo and behold I came across your comment. I recently experienced the exact same situation that you did. I, too, suffer from social anxiety, and my date tanked. I was subsequently rejected. It stings, especially when I really liked her as well. But you know what I think about it? It's her loss. Just as the same as that girl you liked. Both of them didn't give either of us an opportunity to find out more. I mean, who's really themselves on a first date? It's so nerve-wracking. She was not worth your time because she couldn't look past what inhibits you and like you for just being you. I wish there was an easy answer to get over a girl, but there truly isn't. It just takes time to get over someone. It's as simple as that. Even though it's been nearly a year since you wrote, I guarantee you will find the one that was meant for you later down the road. It happens when you least expect it. I keep telling myself that a lot and some of the time think it's bull, too. But life's a ride, you don't want to expect.
