FOR GOD'S SAKE! FIX THE MISTAKES! I'M GOING TO GO CRAZY! *ahem* Now that that's off my chest, here's what I think. The song possibly has multiple meanings. Here are my guesses. The song tells a story that takes place in the Opium Wars about a man, possibly soldier, from England. While he was in Hong Kong, he met a female citizen from there. When he saw her singing in front of an audience, he fell in love with her. She was a beautiful woman with a beautiful voice. As they spend time together, they get caught in the war. Not long after that, the woman is killed. The man, depressed, spends the rest of his life in Hong Kong. He always remembered the woman's beauty. It was beautiful, but nothing really was there. Or: The song is about the history and beauty of Hong Kong. Sometimes, we have to think up our own meaning of the song. You can tell that the artist really took time to make this song. The lyrics are creative, beautiful, amazing, ect. However, since the meaning of the song isn't quite clear, we can try to think of our own idea. Here's my story, what's yours? |
