I think you guys should pay tribute to American Nightmare by allowing whichever one of the Porcelain Hope bands is shittiest to keep the name. |

I don't understand why American Nightmare/Give Up The Ghost doesn't just go back and re-record all their songs exactly the same, except replacing every instance of the word 'love' with the word 'bugs'. It would be a lot funnier! |

Wow. I posted in 2002. Anyhow, my current theory is that his lyrical content would make him sound like a total pussy if you could hear what he was saying, so he makes it inaudible to fit with his band's incomparably bad-ass sound and onstage demeanor.
These guys may very well be the tightest band you could ever hope to hear live. |

| Every Time I Die – Jimmy Tango's Method Lyrics

So, inferring from the previous post: Either the song really is a social commentary, and "Jimmy Tango's Method" refers to people who happily cause themselves irreparable physical and psychological harm to achieve a satisfactory sense of aesthetic beauty. Or "Jimmy Tango" is just a really frantic, really crazy guy, and Keith (the singer/lyricwriter) felt the insanecrazyandfastpaced fit the song's tone.
Y'know, whatever. His song, not mine. |

I'm going to go with Keith on this one.
And I'll also point out that the "Jimmy Tango Method" is a Saturday Night Live skit starring Jim Carrey where "Jimmy Tango" suggests you lose weight by taking a lot of speed. Boy was that ever a funny skit. I laugh in remembrance. |

Well, I should probably add that it made sense as a song about long distance relationships because umm, the must and the lyrics give of an impression of driving many many miles through flat boring places without much excitement in your destination.
But then again, that applies to most of the songs. A sense of futility and sadness. Boy is what I'm writing here ever lame. Haha, I try to interpret meaning from other people's obfuscated emotional statements. Whatever. |

Well, I went an interpretted it as the feelings of guilt that come from breaking off a long distance relationship.
But then again, that doesn't explain all the lyric-like nonsense towards the end. |
