| Sia – Big Girls Cry Lyrics | 10 years ago |

I love the last part, Big girls cry when their hearts are breaking Big girls cry when their heart is breaking from plural to singular, which I would interpret as not of something of a personal relationship, but of an internal gap in a person as she describe within this song. In which she states its a lonely place being at the top. Big girls cry in the most pure form when they've broken down. Pure tears of a pure emotion of sadness. |

| I love her use of the double edge term. The idea of a double edge knife. No matter how you hold it, its going to be sharp on either end and its going to cut you. Much like the "friends" she speaks about. No matter how she behaves, they'll always make a scene of her for the topic of their conversation. | |

| I think the idea of biting my tongue is holding back your thoughts or opinions. Perhaps, its her way of saying she doesn't want to be involve in their meaningless conversations or petty remarks. | |

| I really like how Ben Gibbard used the contrast between a calm lake and a moat. The moat was a trench that surrounded a castle and used as a defense during medieval time against invading troops. To me it seems like he's saying that she has long close that door on him and he's basically swimming in circle and marching into a war trying to get to her. While all the most, it obviously has become a one sided love on his part. | |
