Pete Townsend remarked that the first verse of 5;15 'Girls of fifteen, Sexually knowing The Ushers are Sniffing, Eu-du-cologning, The seats are seductive, Celibate sitting - was a reference to where 15 year old girls would literally piss themselves watching bands (as they were so excited) and the ushers at the theatres would have to spray Eu - du - cologne in order to mask the smell they left behind on the seating. |
