dear all, meaning of this song: whenever we hurt somebody we're also hurting ourselves. you can extrapolate that to the society in general (and the first few lines of the song reference to that) and to the financial system: - each individual death caused is a self-slap in the face to the whole of human race, especially when it's allowed by it (e.g. war) / profiting from those less fortunate is excusable under the guise of 'economy' but the few who do so are only 'slapping themselves in the face' as the race they're a part of is suffering in the majority. Unfortunately when you use/hurt others for your own benefit you cannot see you're doing it, really, to your own detriment and can only fantasize about the 'beautiful life' dream that you'll never achieve, always running around in a small vicious circle.. |
