This song makes me think of space travel. The further into space we go, the longer it takes to return. Crashing through the sky could refer to a ship reentering the atmosphere. |

Or about an actual robot, originally controlled by the people, hence it being "once flown by drones", that became self-aware, and fought for its freedom, hence the "drones" being "now overthrown". The people tried to destroy it, and hence, "watched its body die". It was never actually destroyed, and hence, left. "These Iron Bones will never die!" |
