| Foo Fighters – Let It Die Lyrics | 10 years ago |
|
Whenever I hear this song, I can't help but think about my mother, who all the sudden (long story short) took off when I was a kid. I think one of the most important questions that kids with divorced parents think is "Why? Why couldn't you two just stay together or something? Why did you ever leave in the first place? Why'd you have to go and let it die?" But hey, that's just a humble opinion. After all, it could be about Kurt or some other bullshit like that (that was sarcastic). |

| It's about a race car driver. | |
| Rush – Distant Early Warning Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| The title 'Distant Early Warning' could possibly be a reference to the DEW lines (stands for Distant Early Warning) in the Arctic during the Cold War. | |

| I think your opinion might actually be the meaning of the song. | |
| Pink Floyd – [The Wall Concept] Lyrics | 12 years ago |
|
Went to the Hall Of Fame this summer. In there is a display on The Wall, along with this writing; "In the Old Days, pre-Dark Side of the Moon, Pink Floyd played to audiences which, by virtue of their size, allowed an intimacy of connection that was magical. However, success overtook us and by 1977 we were playing in football stadiums. The magic, crushed beneath the weight of numbers. We were becoming addicted to the trappings of popularity. I found myself increasingly alienated in that atmosphere of avarice and ego until one night in the Olympic Stadium, Montreal, the boil of my frustrations burst. Some crazed teenage fan was clawing his way up the storm netting that separated us from the human cattle pen in front of the stage screaming his devotion to the demi-gods beyond his reach. Incensed by his misunderstanding and my own connivance, I spat my frustration in his face. Later that night; back at the hotel shocked by my behaviour I was faced with a choice. To deny my addiction and embrace that "comfortably numb" but "magic-less" existence or accept the burden of insight, take the road less travelled and embark on the often painful journey to discover who I was and where I fit. The Wall was the picture I drew for myself to help me make that choice."-Roger Waters, 1995. This helped me understand The Wall a lot better. |

| Apparently Chris Martin wrote this for his girlfriend after her father passed away. | |
| Coldplay – What If Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| I have an anxiety issue that I call the 'what ifs'. Like, if I'm waiting for someone or something and they're taking longer than usual, I get worried that something terrible or outrageous happened to them. This is just how I can relate to this song. | |
| Coldplay – Talk Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| Near the end of the music video, the robot turns itself to a 'dazed' mode, While they keep saying 'lets talk". It is possible for someone to go into an emotional 'freeze mode'. Not happy nor depressed, just kinda there. Maybe when the person he's been trying to talk to in the song responded too late before he went into this 'freeze mode'. | |
| Coldplay – Politik Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| So I bought 'A Rush Of Blood To The Head' album not to long ago, and in one of the pages of the sleeve was a heading that said 'Politik". It said how we can help with the Fair Trade thing. Could this be the meaning of the song? | |
