"There's no real love in you." *sings* 'Du traegst keine Liebe in dir...' Seriously, it seems that this song owes rather a lot to http://songmeanings.com/songs/view/77624/ |

| Wir Sind Helden – Kreise Lyrics | 12 years ago |

I honestly wonder if this song is about a mathematician, given the references to both cryptography ('unsichtbare Botschaften zu schreiben') and geometry ('Kreise'). But I study math, so it might be me. It also refers to some taxi drivers :). As possible literary influences I'll note Rilke's poem, 'Der Panther' and Marlen Haushofers 1963 novel 'The Wall'. |

| Wir Sind Helden – Rüssel an Schwanz Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| I've always wondered whether this song was not perhaps a sly jab at the European Union, due to the near-homophony of Ruessel ('trunk') and Bruessel ('Brussels' where the EU has ist Headquarters). | |
| Silbermond – Krieger des Lichts Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| The lyrics of this song are based on Paulo Coelho's 'Manual of the Warrior of Light'. It's a very cheerful and uplifting song about being yourself and having the courage to do what you want to, while also serving the greater good. | |
| Silbermond – Meer Sein Lyrics | 12 years ago |

The pop-punk delivery of this song rubs hard against its message: Let's be a drop of water ('Tropfen') vanishing in the sea ('Meer'). |

| Wir Sind Helden – Hände Hoch Lyrics | 12 years ago |

Not sure if your'e being ironic, but rather not. It's more like a policeman shouting 'Hands up in the air! Surrender!' to a criminal about to be apprehended. Except that the only crime the addressee in the song is guilty of is having an opinion of his own, so the whole thing is in fact rather sad. I've always thought of the song as a reply to Silbermond's 'Meer Sein' ( http://songmeanings.com/songs/view/3530822107858593761/), which had appeared a year before and basically sings the praises of collectivism as an approach to life. |

Indeed. I have always identified the river ('Fluss') with the river Styx known from Greek mythology. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Styx |

'[H]e was more than likely cheating on Sherri with Hayley before he left Sherri' Why is that so? |

Kind of like 'Sk8er Boi' and 'Girlfriend' rolled into one, isn't it? No, seriously, where Avril was merely fatalistic, Hayley is judgmental and seriously mean. I find that sexy. |

| Guns N' Roses – One In A Million Lyrics | 12 years ago |
|
I guess it's more about not being able to cope with the sudden fame that GnR met with at the time. Essentially, he just wants to get out of it, but ends up getting worked up about petty things like people trying to sell him jewellery. It's also worth noting what a chaos these lyrics are! What exactly is 'one in a million'? Most people say it's about a girl he's in love with, others point to the city of L.A. itself. I've always thought it refers to the speaker himself and his wish to regain his composure and rejoin the band. I think it might also refer to the music he dreams of making, but is as yet incapable of, if only because he goes so ostentatively high with his voice at various points in this song ('But you were much too high!' ) |
