I really love what you wrote, and I'm glad you bring up Psalm 137... I'm going to go read that now. |

I absolutely Commend Katy for putting this song on her album. When she came out with "I Kissed A Girl", my pastor told my church that he knows her father, and he talked about famous artists who start out singing in church. God gave the gift of singing to certain people. But he also gives us free will to do what we want with these talents. And this song made me completely respect Katy because she has not forgotten about God. I know God delights in her courage to put out a song that references Him and His Word. I understand her behavior and challenges, and I so badly want her to know: There are 23 year old American girls, like me, backing her up. And I would stand up to any and all haters and rebuke them. I believe a revival is coming in this country. And people like her have the potential to bring masses of people to God. He put her in this position. I hope she pursues more songs like this because no matter what resistance she faces, God and his Army will back her up. I would bet on it that her fans will still love her, and she will lead a generation out of the darkness. Christians need to love on Katy and pray for her NO MATTER WHAT songs she has/will put out. |

Thank you for that. I think you really got it. "Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice insofar as you share Christ's sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed. If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in that name." —1 Peter 4:12-14, 16 |

Katy absolutely does have the life and love of God in her, despite what anyone says about her radio hit songs. I think it's only a matter of time before people start to see that. If she didn't believe in God and Jesus she wouldn't have written these songs. Her Christian music is actually extremely powerful and amazing, and this is how Katy Hudson/Katy Perry got to the top: http://video.search.yahoo.com/video/play;_ylt=A2KLqIFjvXZSbEUAJWz7w8QF;_ylu=X3oDMTByZWc0dGJtBHNlYwNzcgRzbGsDdmlkBHZ0aWQDBGdwb3MDMQ--?p=katy+hudson&vid=ea06415ecc39c77dec7e57174bf11c7f&l=4%3A39&turl=http%3A%2F%2Fts2.mm.bing.net%2Fth%3Fid%3DV.4636908046977857%26pid%3D15.1&rurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3D70AlxWcbWAc&tit=Search+Me+-+Katy+Hudson+%28aka+Katy+Perry%29+%28March+2002%29&c=0&sigr=11ageiq2i&sigt=11l71110c&pstcat=arts+culture+and+entertainment&age=0&fr=goodsearch-yhsif&tt=b |

| I like what you said. It sounds very kind. I think a lot of people struggle with this too. Even if other people have different interpretations, I like yours and think it's cool to look at this song your way. | |

If it was a praise to science, then the song wouldn't even be about a soul. Because science theories claim we don't have souls. This song calls attention to an almighty God. Our maker. I do feel the song writer struggles with what he believes, but indifference is a true sign of a nonbeliever. Even if he's fallen away from God, he will go back. Even if his heart and mind constantly convict him, God never leaves us, nor forsakes us. And throughout our lifetime, God makes it really hard for us to NOT love him. It's just a mattter of time for everyone to notice that. |

Amen. For all those who don't believe in God, or even hate God-- You have never been alone, and never will be. No matter what you have done, God still wants to know&love you infinitely more than you want to know him. "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God GOES WITH YOU; he will never leave you nor forsake you." Deuteronomy 31:6 |

"He tries to tell himself that he's not "holding out" for her but he hasn't been a given a reason by anyone or anything to move on to anyone else. And if he did move on, he thinks he'd lose that last bit of hope of finding love with her again." I like what you said there. I prefer to think of it that way too, even though I admit I don't know what it means exactly |

Sorry, I usually don't comment, but I feel a quickening in my heart to mention me absolutely ARE NOT out own personal Gods. That ideology puts a void in people's hearts and lives, until they realize that there is only one true, almighty God. If any person wants to know real love in this life on earth, HUMBLE yourself before God. Of course, we indeed do have free will. You CAN choose not to follow God, and forge your own destiny, but Mumford & Son does NOT say 'Serve YOURSELF". Plain and simple, the first two words are "Serve GOD" . Joel 2:27 And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the LORD your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed. I speak truth. I speak peace. I speak love. |
