I think this can pretty simple. He loves a girl.(Maybe not. will talk about it) But she sometimes remain silent. But he wants to know what she is hiding from him. He thinks he can also love that. Seems like she doesn't know that he loves her. And maybe she doesn't love him. Maybe just friends. They seem to have no common interest, but he doesn't care. And, um, only this part made me confusing.. [Come away, Come away, Come away It's over. And 1, 2, 3 ] I thought this part means he tries to forget his ex, or first love. He really tries to move on, to the girl in front of him. He waits, He 'saves energy' for the time she comes into his space. He buries his love 'around' her, cause he is afraid he give it to her, she might runaway. And he says [This is a 'concept' This is a 'bracelet' This isn't no intervention] means that it's just the thoughts, like fancy accessories, it doesn't mean anything, It's just fancy thing to wear.(or think) he may not want to 'love' her, perhaps he just enjoys the idea of it. So, my point is this. He may love her. But perhaps he enjoys the idea of 'loving her' He dreams about take a trip with her, leave the town with her But maybe he will, too, run away if he is actually in that situation. I just freakin' love this song. And love Interpol, cause I don't see love that simple. When you're in love, you have these complex thoughts. You can be delusional, you lost in daydream... Interpol's song just describes it so well, and their song applies in so many situations, and has so many meanings.. I just joined this sites, but I believe that this sites is for INTERPOL Seriously. |
