I believe the message is that no one cares about the victim until the victim becomes the offender. For example, when a kid is picked on in school, people will probably tell him, "It's just a bully. Suck it up. Ignore it." And they continue to get harassed until they snap. If something was done about the first bully, the victim wouldn't turn violent. No one cared when Eminem was attacked to the point where he ended up in the hospital. And the bathroom accident got to the point where it was either kill or be killed. It's due to society's lack of justice and when schools look the other way and kids are left to their own devices. |
