I get the feeling that this song is about someone who is running from who they are. The beginning of this song reflects a police chase, but I think that chase is a metaphor for someone who cannot realistically continue running from himself forever. They are getting tired of pretending (that 3am feeling). I believe these lines back my theory up as well: you just made a pass in that reflection you're fixing your hair or asking questions you decide This person sees himself in the mirror and can no longer pretend that his true self is there and he has to confront it some time or other. |
