I love the concept and how it depicts the Mothers weakness and strength: "Now close your eyes, everything is fine, everything is light Mom loves you more than any mom in the word" The mom seems to be schizophrenic and off her meds "His face was sort of erased But I knew he was looking at me Two invisible eyes, two invisible and monstrous eyes" She describes what she thinks she sees as erased and invisible, suggesting that there's nothing really there; only that which she believes to be. It's a glimpse into the reality of the life of one that's struggling to protect her son but on the other end fighting a battle with the disease and is clearly losing. Either way, I think this is an overall great song. |
