There are many ways to interpret this song! as somebody said, it could very well be about someone going off to war, but i don't interpret it that way. The way it's worded sounds like a woman that was dumped by a guy or was divorced, and she's just trying to express that he shouldn't have done that and now she's going to leave and he's not going to get anyone better, and that he will regret it. It could be the other way around, but since it's by a woman that's how i would interpret it. |

I think it's about some people getting out of school and just pretty much just telling the adults they don't give a crap about what they think, and that they are going to live their own lives, and they are going to make their own generation. They arn't going to be exactly like everyone else and they are going to be different. So i really like this song because it really encourages you to be different, and not conform. |
