| Carole King – It's Too Late Lyrics | 11 years ago |
To me, what's so poignant about this song and where it puts a lump in my throat is how in the first couple versus, the lyrics lament that things aren't the way they used to be and just maybe, the relationship may have run it's course. But by the third verse, she is absolutely clear. "But I'm glad for what we had and how I once loved you." Ouch. It's over. She has accepted the reality with such absolution and maturity, even through the pathetic sense of loss and raw pain over acknowledging something that was once new and beautiful is now over. |

| John Mayer – Waiting on the World to Change Lyrics | 12 years ago |
This is the stupidest, most non-sensical, most pathetic excuse for laziness ever. Previous generations wrote songs about how and why we needed to change the world, and with their spirit and words, they inspired that change. In this song, John Mayer says it's too hard and his generation (my generation) doesn't know how. "Yeah, the world is fucked up, I guess, and someone should do something about it but I don't know how and they are too powerful. Let's go smoke a bowl." John, you DO NOT represent my generation. You are a disgrace, as is this pathetic song. |
