This is exactly how I perceived it to be as well. She is not scared of the end or Armageddon, because she doesn't have to worry, she keeps faith, and God will be there to protect her. |

| Third Eye Blind – Losing a Whole Year Lyrics

I watched a documentary on Third Eye Blind.
The singer said the song was about a boy and girl who were together. They started out in love, but she never knew what real love was, because she hadn't grew up with love. Her dad bought her, "love". So, she starts a life with this boy, and they break up within a year, because she changes. She's not the sweet girl he once knew. She starts hanging around other people, and taking meds, but they used to spend their time together.
The singer specifically states (in the interview, part of the documentary) that the part in the song that says, "I Took your stuff and put it in the basement ,When I found out what the smile on your face meant, I've seen you pop that check , Craning your neck at my car wreck" means that he put her stuff away, because she was never there, and she got the check from her father, so she smiles cause now that she has money, she's leaving again, and says the "car wreck" he is referring to is their break-up. Because he lost her, she doesn't love him anymore. |

I believe this song is about a guy who is suffering from mental illness. I think he is down on himself, doesn't know what to do about it. Doesn't think people understand. He struggles back and forth on what he believes/feels, and how others perceive it. When he says, "Maybe I'm a different breed", I think he means he is different, and its ok. Then it says, "Maybe I should kill myself", I think he feels misunderstood, and he is questioning himself, and his mind at this point, and thinks it will all go away, if he ends it. "Maybe I should cry for help." He knows he needs help to deal with his illness, but is probably to paranoid to do so. So, he just keeps sailing on, in his own way. Another note that makes me think of mental illness, is where it trails off with, "la, la, la, la, la, la, la.... |

I laugh when I hear this because I think of Snooki & Jwoww. Yes it was the theme song for their show, but it reminds me of them. Snooki crashing her car in Paris. Jwoww being a 90's chick, but Roger is from the 70's. And how both Snooki & Jwoww are constantly getting kicked out of their guys' houses, or vice versa ( I put your shit into a bag, and pushed it down the stairs). And, how Roger, and Jionni always seem more responsible, ans so damn hard to please. And their overall party lifestyle, they just don't give a f***! It's upbeat, and I like it. |
