This song is not dedicated to the generation of kids who lost their parents in the September eleventh attack on the twin towers in the United States. This song is most likely secretly dedicated to his dad for one and two a friend of the band or Gerard. I don't know why most people think that this is a bio about the kids who lost their parents. Anyone can openly disagree with me but this is my personal view and other people too. |

This really wasn't directed towards a generation of kids which I am part of but more towards his last good memories of his father because as gcb2719 "artists like Gerard usually have issued with their main father figure. I think the reference to his father is just that, its in black and white(no pun intended)" and a friend of the band who died of cancer most likely. |
