My opinion is that this song is about a broken-hearted person seeking solace and comfort in a close friend. The close friend sings this song in an attempt to show them that they're 'Safe and sound' together. The war outside is the problems that the broken-hearted person has in the real world and is attempting to hide from. The speaker is trying to show his/her friend that they're all right, and that come morning, everything will be safe and secure. |
