ohaky i read up on this song and it says oli doesnt want to tell the meaning because its so personal and its between him and his mom and dad ,, but what i dont understand is it sounds like he also has a lover involved ?? but ya i think its got to do with him and his mom and dad because like i think it took a while for his parents to accept him the way he is because you know parents i think its pretty hard for them to accept that your son or daughter has different views and ya like if you have parents who are Catholics and you dont believe in god so ya "Do you feel the chair, Clawing at the back of your neck? And start to spell, Did you really think that you could fix me?" ohkay so he probly told them about his beliefs and they disagree and his probly arguing with them saying that "I'm just a would've been, could've been, Should've been, never was and never ever will be." hes doubting himself saying hes not good enough thinking hes better of dead "If you can't soar with the eagles Then don't fly with the flock.(probly his parents saying if you cant have normal friends dont friends at all because you just becoming one of them) Are you still getting high? Did you catch your own reflection, In the knife my mother held? Or the hell in my father's eyes?" he obliviously saw his parents arguing and his mother had a knife i dont really know if thats 100% right but its just wat im tryna interpret when oli said its between him and his parents .... |

omgeeeeeee i must say oli sykes British accent is sooooo sexy <3 :) ohkayy now the song uhmm my opinion is this song is about finding himself ,, just my opinion the thing i like about his songs is that he uses his life ,, he puts his feelings into his songs ,, but that people can really take the songs and interpret it into their own lives i never ever felt so much emotions in songs as when i heard oliis music ... if you listen to this song it could be about love because he says no matter how fucked you get its always there when you come back down (meaning you know when you try to drown your sadness of being dumbed with geting high or drinking till you so pissed ? now wat hes tryna say is that hes obviously been with a girl ,, and she doesnt like the dark side of him ,, or his drug addiction so she told him to go to a shrink but he does this cuz he loves her and he doesnt want to lose her ,, but i think she alredy left him ,,and he says all he ever wanted he already had because he was happy with her and ya now hes tryna fight for her so hes goin to a shrink and a mental house or rehab the days are a death wish , a witch hunt for an exit , i am powerless (he is in rehab or the mental home and he wants to get out fo there but he cant cause he wants her back) the fragile , the broken sit in circles and stay unspoken we are powerless (hes obviously with other people who also have a problems) im paraphrasing btw have you ever taken a blade to your wrists ? have you been skipping meals ? were goin to try something new today how does that make you feel ? (thats normaly wat shrinks ask so thats the shrink talking to oli ) last of all hold me close dont let go (he doesnt want to lose her he needs her) just my opinion xxx |

or not ,, if you really think about it its about how he fell inlove with a girl and a girl fell inlove with him ,, but theres a problem they must have fallen out of love or they just two different people they always clash but deep down they have feelings for each other and they both hurting thats why he says "I think we've lost our touch There's no sparkle in those eyes" and when he says he doesnt want to do it by himself he says he needs her ,, he wants her ,, you know the saying theres love in the air ?? thats why he says theres nothing in the air,, " I'm sorry, love (he loves her). It's not enough (they not each others type) We should feel the love so painfully It hurts right to the touch I know it stings, I know this cuts(he says he knows what it feels like ,, they both holding on ,, but there more they hold on the more it hurts) And I wish I could agree with you (he means he wishes they dont clash so they can be enough for one another but they constantly fighting) i got this from my own experience.. xxxx |
