NOFX – Linoleum Lyrics 12 years ago
I don't consider most of this song very cryptic, it explains poverty, but I believe it is by choice of not wanting to be in the rat race and I think the most important line and the one that leads me to this conclusion is the last line which most people simply don't comment on: "That's me inside your head".

I believe that what Mike is saying that we all think about going hobo for the sake of escaping the mundane, day to day grind just to pay bills so you can have a place to shower and sleep so you're clean and rested to go work another day.

Dog help us, we're all heading for a cliff. FTW.

Snuff – Keep The Beat Lyrics 12 years ago
I think this song is about recreational substance abuse:

So why do you keep humming along now you find out you're no god
- Often drug abuse forms from problems in life that affects your view of yourself which can have adverse effects on your confidence, but most substances will either make you feel more confident or just not worry about the troubles, in other words, you can keep humming along.

You can feel the poison in your blood
- Most often you are aware of the substance in your system as it can create sensations of all sorts.

You won't notice the noise until it stops
- Many substances can cause a change in blood pressure and result in a ringing in the ears and since it comes on easily, often only when it suddenly stops will you realise how loud it was.

'Cos you keep on keeping that beat alive
- Many have said that when they are high they have a song in their head, or people get really into music and I believe this refers to keeping the good feeling brought on by drugs coming.

Weak lungs suck on any device
- Makeshift bongs, water pipes, cones etc. Weak lungs from an extended habit.

You can deal with it in your own time
- Habitual users will often get high as soon as they have free time.

After all it's only leisure
- An excuse or justification by users.

For too long you've been held down under a self inflicted spell
- You have suffered your own addiction for a long time.

Your hands are shaking
Your legs are weak and you're out of breath
- Most drugs will have an adverse effect on fine motor skill and the weak lungs are referenced once again from extended habit.

But You Keep on keeping that beat alive
Keep on keeping that beat alive
- A statement from the song writer, with the last line probably being sarcastic.
