I think its just about a guy who one a revolution and now he's king though he's not really fit for the posistion, eveyone loves him. he becomes an arrogant cruel king, the power poisoning him, the people revolt an he realizes just what he has become a gives up with out a fight disgusted with him self, and wonders who would ever what to be king? he is beheaded by his people, knowing st.peter won't be calling his name. |

I get this image in my head whenever i hear this song of a girl whose father just died at the end of world war 1 or 2 (take your pick) whose crying while everyone is celebrating because its the end of the war and her significant other is just holding her ' And there will come a time you'll see with no tears' shes scared to love because of her father death' And love will not break your heart, but dismiss your fears' her lover telling her it will be alright, and putting a flower in her hair.

My sister laughs at me for my interpretation and thinks I'm crazy. this my interpretation, not sure where i got it from.
INTERPRETATION: It's about a girl (surprise, surprise) who was in a very controlling relationship, and here she is sitting in a cafe idly watching this new guy becoming just a controlling as the last one, and she's not doing a thing about it, and hating herself for it. hence, 'I watched it begin again'
