i think that this song is about a man who is deeply in love with a girl who is struggling with personal problems such as anorexia and depression. i think the girl is breaking up with him and hes so in love with her and is trying so hard to explain that he is the only right one for her because only he can put up with her troubles and her personality and just everything. I think he feels like all his effort he put into trying to help her was a waste because she doesnt even love him as much as he loves her. hes the only one that wants to help her and is genuinely concerned for her well being.
