This is just another example of John McCrea's misogynism. All his songs are about him breaking up with women because of something wrong with them. Here, the woman tries to hold things together and he wants out. What's more annoying about the song is the nonsensical metaphor about baskets. Who has baskets in their house? Are they shopkeepers? Why do they need turtle wax? Why I keep listening? The funky alt-country melody. |

I am searching and coming up short for hidden meanings in this album so I can learn more about the relationship between now divorced Zooey Deschanel and Ben Gibbard. Unfortunately I think this song is an example of how I may never know. I thought this song was about the couple at first but then I did a bit of investigation. It is about Zelda and F.
