These lyrics are on crack. I submitted the correct ones so who knows, maybe they'll get changed. To me, this song is about him expressing his frustration at the state of the world. I believe he sees people as greedy consumers, holed up inside their homes with technology and "stuff", not being a part of the world around them. "This world's a sinking ship, 'cause our baggage is too heavy" I think this line means we're literally consuming ourselves to the grave. He talks about being bored while the world passes by and how his "revelation has no meaning". He thinks he's "losing grip" on reality and he doesn't think he can change anything so he issues a resignation from the bloated society. A lot of the other songs on this album deal with not conforming to society's cookie-cutter standards and distrusting lying authorities, so this song may tie in with those themes. |
