This is song is explains my situation to a T. It's about being close to this guy, they clearly really like each other, however, it will never work. It's like he knows he wants/likes her (you know what you want). They mislead each other (i'm unclear of what your after). The girl knows deep down she shouldn't stay but he gives her no reason to leave (You give me no reason why I shouldn't say goodbye). At the end of it all she realizes she needs to end it and really doesn't know how (Can't think of what I could have said, so I'll break your heart instead). Until then he goes after the girl who fits his "type" (what he always said that he wanted instead) and overall the girl just wants him to be happy. To finally stop, let her go, and to be found (honest with himself).. |
