I think the protagonist is used to win in love like Napoleon in war and now he has been defeated like Napoleon in Waterloo. This is for me quite clear, but the problem is what she refers to win in love, and why she feels like she has win when she has been defeated.
A possibility is win in love is when the other person is in love with you, and lost when you are in love withe the other. |
