I finally watched the music video to this song and realized that yes, it's about love... and I think it could work with a break up scenario, but the video makes me think it is from the loss of a loved one. It's about not being able to let go. The feeling of loneliness and abandonment. Despite trying to pray and ask for someone who has passed to not go, you can't turn back. The video shows how the death of the mother has effected the father and two sons whom he now must take care. They all feel a deep pain inside that they can't let go and each try to find their own way to deal with it. The father silent, does his best to care for his sons. The youngest remains fairly innocent, but the loss is deep within him. The adolescent strikes out and tries to find his place in the world. The final scenes of the video depict them wishing for their wife/mother. www.youtube.com/watch?v=EcKinnMXuKg |

The cover photo and some music vids I've seen show him with demon eyes and such... but like usual I don't think we should take the videos literally. They are a figurative interpretation of the lyrics. I think this is about loss of innocence and love. He's gone through something dark in his life which has taken away his innocence, but despite all that has happened there is still a light within him. Throughout the darkness that surrounds him; he still hangs onto it and she sees this spark within him. |

| k-os – Born to Run Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| I actually agree this is about relationships... K-os is talking about making a choice either sticking with a relationship or running away. He's saying he can't decide if he wants to move on or stay... but he still wants someone to adore him. | |
