The Motels – Only the Lonely Lyrics 8 years ago
Here's my take:

The song is about two who had broken up a long time ago. They meet again, both lonely, and naively go back into their old ways without any real emotion behind it other than loneliness and recklessness. Not sure about this interpretation but it seems to make sense to me.

The 1975 – So Far (It's Alright) Lyrics 10 years ago
From interviews with Matty talking about the town he grew up in, I think it's just about boredom and wanting to do something to get out of the monotonous upper-middle-class life routine. He finds this girl who's kind of edgy and interesting, but she ends up not being as fun as he had hoped. Pretty much, it's just about boredom, same as Chocolate is.

Side note: if you don't watch Matty's interviews, you so should. The guys brilliant and hearing him speak is just so thought-provoking.

@[euo95:2938] what interview is this? I'd like to take a listen. If there's a link or a title so I can find it on the interwebs that would be great

Awolnation – Sail Lyrics 11 years ago
When asked about the line "Blame it on my ADD, baby" Aaron Bruno responded with this:
"I’ve always talked about ADD, because I clearly have it. It’s hard for me to pay attention to stuff for too long. When I listen to songs, once I get to the part I like, I skip it. I always had a hard time in school, digesting and paying attention to the geography lesson I’m getting. I think there are some instances where medication probably does help people get through the day, but for me, I was told I was supposed to take Ritalin, I tried it, didn’t like it and I’m grateful that I didn’t get locked into that, because I didn’t really need it. I think it’s another means for the powers that be to dumb down our kids and get them addicted to something."

In a nutshell, it's about suppressing feelings.

Read the lyrics over with that in mind and you'll see.

No. They've expressed many times that they are not a christian band. They all are of christian faith, they were signed to a christian label, and some of their songs are about religion, but not all of them.
