David Bowie – Wild Eyed Boy from Freecloud Lyrics 8 years ago
I really think this song is Bowie's response to "The Fool on the Hill" by the Beatles. The musical compositions are really similar & they express the same kind of idea.

The Knife – Silent Shout Lyrics 12 years ago
Knowing The Knife and their thematic motif of gender theory within their music, I really believe this song is more idealistic than it is situational.

Simply put, I feel like this song is expressing vulnerability after being enlightened by someone/something, and how gender notions (see Judith Butler) distort communication of that enlightenment to others, leaving a sense of insecurity and fear of consequences in doing so.

In terms of situation, I think it's whatever situation the listener can personally associate with it, which is really the beauty of The Knife's music.
