| Lady GaGa – Highway Unicorn (Road to Love) Lyrics

This is another song about gay rights. The "rainbow syrup" is a reference to the gay pride rainbow flag. The "road to love" is the measures being taken so that gay marriage is legalized. When you think about it, it really does make a lot of sense. Lady Gaga probably wrote this song to let her fans in the gay community- and everyone in the gay community- know that she is with them every step of the way. |

| Lady GaGa – Americano Lyrics

This song is a ballad from the perspective of a woman from Mexico who falls in love with a woman from L.A. But, because of marriage laws in the USA, they were not allowed to elope (we fell in love/but not in court). She is upset that she is not allowed to marry the one she loves, and also maybe confused (I don't speak your Americano). Also, when she says, "I don't speak your Jesús Christo" it means she's not Christian and should not be held down by their beliefs. The lyrics in Spanish about fighting for her generation in a revolution are probably meant to draw attention to how being able to marry someone who you truly love should not be something that requires a "revolution". Anyway, wonderful song, and beautiful message(; |
