This song is about drugs, knowing that you will soon die because of it. Not only that it is also that you are running out of them, having little left. ''I will not die; I'll wait here for you I feel alive when you're beside me I will not die; I'll wait here for you In my time of dying'' It means that he doesn't want to die but knows it might be too late. Yet he still wants more but he got nothing left. He had a little left and took the rest, it was an overdose even though it was 'little''. So he is dying because of that. ''On this bed I lay Losing everything I can see my life passing me by Was it all too much Or just not enough? Wake me up I'm living a nightmare'' This is where he realizes he takes and overdose and is in great agony. Overdoses seems good at the start but when the effect is over and you've taken an overdose it is horrible. (I'm living a nightmare). Basically he had little left of the drug he was on, took the rest of it that was an overdose. Then now he lays dying, but refuses to die for couple reasons in his head. Even though it is killing him and he almost died or might even die as where he is now. He still wants more and will wait for it. |

The meaning of this song is that the person got a person that sets too high expectations for him. He is being pushed around and later being numb by someone who ''loves'' him, which he can't understand/feel. (The start+''I can't feel you there'' part) He/she is becoming tired of doing this and rather want to do different things, being more like himself/herself. (The chorus) It seems like the one that brings him/her down doesn't want to let him/her go. As he/her tries to get away from it she/he drags him closer. Making it even worse and worse for the person as there is no escape for him. Making him numb (After chorus) He/she understanding that what he/she does might be the ''best'' for he/she, he/she still wants to take the risks just to feel. Knowing that it is better failing in life than not having a life at all. He/she also knows that the other person had someone who was just or about the same as he/her is now. Setting to high expectations and getting disappointed. In the end he/she doesn't care how the other person feels about him/her and just want to break out and life as he/she wants to. (The last part) It could be possible that the very last part of the song ''I've become so numb, I can't feel you there I'm tired of being what you want me to be I've become so numb, I can't feel you there I'm tired of being what you want me to be'' Is when he/she finally breaks and tells the person. |

The song meaning is pretty simple and much easier to understand now as the music video is out. It is about your surroundings is making you Ultra insensitive. Not about addiction at all. ''So say a benediction, For a new addiction, In voyeuristic overdrive'' Is simple the need to have something while being out in the void or nothingness aka being numb and it feels like everything is pure black (The dancers from the video) Blue Stahli refers to the void of his other songs too. As it is very empty and a need for something. Not drug addiction or sex addiction and a song to try to stop it.
