He said he had 9 friends who all had birthdays at the same time, and they were very similar in that effect, he called it 3 Libras kinda to make them argue over who it was about. |

A man's lover dies, and he is devestated. He vows to sit by her grave and mourn her for a year and a day. After this time has passed, his dead lover appears to him. He wants to be with her again, but she tells him he must move on with hislife or it will not be long before he is in the ground with her.
It's not literally sitting by her grave, but mourning her everyday, not moving on with his life and accepting her death.
This is a very old ballad, and one of my favourite poems. |

This song is really funny cuz I know a guy named Steven, who, just recently was supposed to be going overseas for 6 weeks, but when he was supposed to leave, he didn't, then a month later he finally did leave, but he came back 3 weeks early, then he was supposed to be taking a trip interstate, but that never happened, then he was going to be moving interstate, but that fell through as well. Now we just make fun of him through this song. |

I love this song. The original version is amazing, but it doesn't even begin to compare to the acoustic version. There is something haunting and almost painful in Dave Grohls voice, and it's almost as if he's singing to you only.
My top ten list changes quite regularly, depending on my mood, and at the moment, it is currently at top postion, but as my top ten list is always changing, next week it will be different. |

I think this is about someone trying to commit suicide to take themselves away from their pains, but to Christians, suicide is a sin, so they will go to hell or wherever they go, they are praying to be saved by God from that afterlife, especialy after being 'lost' (ie away from faith and that sort of thing). A tourniquet (not that they are used any more) cuts off blood flow and can save your life, ie salvation, God.
