I think this is about a boy and a girl who meet, and immediately hit it of, but the guy doesn't fully go for her so he'll lose her, and the message is that if you want her you need to keep her close. You've got her in your pocket And there's no way out now Put it in the safe and lock it 'Cause it's home sweet home It says here what he should do, she's already interested, she really likes him, he's got her in his pocket and what he should do now is keep her close and make sure she doesn't slip away. And you'll be there if she ever feels blue And you'll be there when she finds someone new, what to do? He's not sure what to do, he's just there for her but he doesn't come to action, so he becomes her friend, and before he knows it she'll find someone else, and it's too late. The smile on your face made her think she had the right one Then she thought she was sure by the way you two could have fun But now she might leave like she's threatened before Grab hold of her fast before her feet leave the floor And she's out the door She liked him, that's comfirmed again, he already had her in his pocket, but nothing happens so she moves on, 'she might leave like she's threatened before', so what he should do is do something about it, grab hold of her fast. And in your own mind, you know you're lucky just to know her And in the beginning, all you wanted was to show her But now you're scared, you think she's running away You search in your hand for something clever to say: Don't go away Here it's all clear, he's crazy about her but he can't express it, he kind of already gave up. He convinces himself that it's okay, that he's lucky just to know her. But now he comes close to actually losing her to someone else, and he tries to tell her something that might keep her with him, but he it's too late and it's his own fault. |
