I think more your friend scenario out of the ones you posted (great post by the way). I know for me, there is someone and we are incredibly attracted and we dance around actually getting the feelings out and acknowledging them to each other. Partly in case we are not sure that the other wants the same thing and also fear of losing what we have now which is great. Fear of labelling it and putting 'real' emotion into the relationship, giving the other the power to hurt the other one, and yet the truth is we could get hurt anyway if one decides they can't pretend they don't have feelings anymore and walks away to save from having to continue the facade. |
