This song is absolutely inspiration-invoking. I love the chorus. Everybody faces hurdles and failures in life. All we have to do is soul searching, analyse our mistakes and fears. There is no room for despair. no definition of the word hopelessness in one's dictionary if one wills to strive forwards in whatever one does. Chorus - Freedom from hell (that is feeling low and desperate) We can dream again Because our minds are like diamonds, our intellect (the strength of our being) they never wear off, the end is not an option With a dosage of renewed hope our dreams will burn brighter again. Basically about feeling safe and comfortable in the aura of each other as long as they have faith in love and together they can be invincible. Superstition is merely a distraction, a discouragement to those who persevered. The first verse says, his belief in their love will never change regardless of the trials and tribulations. The second verse is somewhat closer to me (just the words of the verse), no superstition will bring me down as long as i am giving my 110%. |

I think the words in this songs are very strong because i can relate to them. i know i've been there and it's like an "unremovable" stain that's etched in my memory haunting me always, depressing me and unfortunately i think even hope is not good enough to heal the wound. "uneven sides made good a promise and sealed the fate of faith" i guess this means there's nothing you can do to right the wrong. the first lines in this song is absolutely amazing "i never wanted memories, now i'm forced to hear everlasting songs" the lyrics of this song is one of the best i've read. though it's dark sad and depressing i'd like to think dark things tend to appeal to people more than happy songs. at least for me and i guess to those who listen to metal. |

| joey tempest is a great lyricist, i agree with all our analyist friends about the gist of the the song. it's about "sometimes what you want ain't what you need". i like the expression "prisoners in paradise", here joey says if we crave for more or sortta say be tempted by greed or something like it, not all of us get what we need and when frustration and desperation becomes too much it's too late to pray for normality like how it used to be for our male character here. "we're just children of tomorrow hanging on to yesterday" which i think basically means prisoners in paradise, frustrated to live in the present, wishing for the past, the joy and happiness we had and don't know what the future holds. | |

first off i love this song and for it's meaning i think it's about a woman our man (the singer or one of the member of the band) realized late that she had too much baggage on her after falling in love with her. the song begins i think with our man feeling bad about this stranger who has been failing in her endeavors then falling for her. but realizes that winning her heart was a bad idea. he calls her high wire. the second verse i think says the success she's had now was all because of our man and when he asks her to take him along with her fame she wouldn't as if she thinks, now i'm famous i can do anything, including playing around with other men. all in all he says she's a good lover but too expensive. so he says she'll lose control all night long when he finds his true love, sorta like making her jealous. |
