Believe it or not, this song is not about a man and a woman's estranged relationship. The next time you listen to the song, imagine God singing it to a person. Many say that they love God, but do not practice it. Remember the lyric in the song "What would you say, if I took those words away, then you couldn't make things new, just by saying I love you." This is basically God saying "What if I took away your ability to speak, then you couldn't just say I love you to assure yourself that things are all better between us".
