this song is just genius. it's an epic song about the mankind, the degradation of society, the roots of evil in the nature of an human being. It's a song criticizing the choices of people, what they think that matters, their morals, or better, their lack of morals, the dehumanization of mankind. i think this part sums up the song: "i don't believe no one no more i don't care what no one say's i just wanna make the world a much less painful place" He just can't take the cruel world that exists, and cannot trust anyone, and he's writting to a friend probably the one he can still believe in. The themes are not new but it's the lyrics and the music that turn this song into something really magnificent. |
