| Bombay Bicycle Club – Overdone Lyrics | 11 years ago |

actual lyrics: Here comes the doubt to shut the sunlight out, I feel the brunt And I keep the world away to be asleep Throughout the day is all I want I sit and pine for wasted time My feet were strong, my head was numb I feel it come, I'm overdone And I keep the world away to be asleep Throughout the day is all I need Tell me Was it enough when we were first in love to plant the seed And just leave? I sit and pine for wasted time My feet were strong, my head was numb I feel it, I'm overdone |

| Bombay Bicycle Club – Your Eyes Lyrics | 11 years ago |
| This song is pretty self-explanatory I think. He is the weaker half in this relationship. “Nod my head so dumb with love, there's something else I'm dreaming of, shut my eyes pretend it's there, keep me here, unaware” He’s checked out of the relationship and is too preoccupied thinking of other things other than what she is talking about. He makes all these promises to her, but later thinks about what he has said and realizes he’s not so sure he really means them. He asks her to humor him by thinking about the things he cares about because she clearly is usually uninterested. “You come out and say the word, quick how all the tables turned” is her saying how she feels right away when she is upset, where as he usually bottles it up. So he is saying the mood changes when she is upset. “Hate that there's a space to fill, always have and always will” is him feeling a void in their relationship. They both try to find things to fight about “poke at any dirt we find, magnify for us to see, then dig them up desperately”. When he says “I’m there when your finger snaps, it’s not where we left it at, I can see the love we trapped, coming back” he is saying that right at the hint of making up, he is eager to do so. After they step away from the fight, they are reminded of their love for each other. Then the song ends with a repetition of “your eyes” which is him surrendering to her because he is influenced by her eyes. | |

These are the actual lyrics, but they won't let me change them due to licensing reasons? I will bathe myself Then I'll wear you for the night Colors fading, frayed at the sides Changing in the light Oh why is your face so pale and white? There's a lot of words to come out Just waiting for the perfect hideout Down where the walls started shaking I'm ready for you to find out Ah-ooo-ooo To find out Ah-ooo-ooo Now that the night has fled Just like everything I said When the moon was out instead Now the sun glows soft and red You burn through my mind, again and again and again And again and again There's a lot of words to come out Just waiting for the perfect hideout Down where the walls started shaking I'm ready for you to find out Ah-ooo-ooo To find out Ah-ooo-ooo There's a lot of words to come out Just waiting for the perfect hideout Down where the walls started shaking I'm ready for you to find out Ah-ooo-ooo To find out Ah-ooo-ooo |

What I think are the actual lyrics: Feeling heart beats, steal all other sound When I thought my soul burnt out Oh, I beg you come I beg you come I beg you come Make it out of there and say you feel it now Want you to feel it, breathe it, let it take you down Take your time, don't throw it out Oh, I beg you come I beg you come I beg you come Just get out of there and say you need it now Won't you come and pass the time? Lay your hand upon the mold she left behind Appease my mind So it's just this once It's all I ever want I know I'm stealing love and draining out it's light I'll find my own some time I beg you come I beg you come I beg you come Just get out of there and say you needed mine Won't you come and pass the time? Lay your hand upon the mold she left behind Appease my mind Let the heart decide C'mon face this side It’s always just this once It's all I need It's all I ever want |

To me the song is about this guy singing about a girl he is with that is overly dramatic and causes him a lot of distress. In the first verse they seem to be in a car ( "your head on the window"; "red container"), after leaving a place where they had a public fight. They appear to still be mad at each other in the car because he mentions "It's all over your skin it sets it off" as in the tension causes them to start fighting again and he is so mad, he wishes she is wiped off the face of the planet, essentially ("pray that a black hole take her"). Once they get home, it's storming outside and he is sitting alone in some room and he is thinking about how he can't calmly say how he feels ("Something I can't just say softly") and how by not going to sleep, he is keeping her up. In the next verse he repeats his sentiment of her disappearing from his life ("pray that the lightning take her"). I believe the chorus is him speaking metaphorically about "going away", where in reality they are just not speaking to each other and he feels as though he is "wasting away" when they are not on good terms. |
