here's what i first thought when i listened to the song: it's about an iron statue of some forgotten general of a forgotten war that nobody cares about. that's the first two verses in the third verse, i dunno what the magnetic field represents exactly, but he travels time in that he just stands around as people forget about him and the war and he, this statue, is like the representation of the part of our mind that causes wars and violence and shit.. like, "evil" in us. he's like a legacy of war, a reminder of our nature, you know? which is said in the 4th verse, it's saying, like "you can't escape your nature, there's always gonna be another war" and then in the 5th verse BAM - we have war. evil is back, iron man(representation of blah blah) is back, spreading fear and destruction and shit 6th verse: a reminder of how people had forgotten and didn't really care about their destructive nature as soon as it was out of the picture(the last war), and didn't do anything about it in the times of peace, so it, like, takes revenge on them in another war and then finally in the 7th verse, obviously, as previously said, fear, destruction and evil are back and shit goes down p.s. i think the drug addict is the true interpresentation though :s |
