Ben Folds Five – One Angry Dwarf and 200 Solemn Faces Lyrics 10 years ago
@[mimsymimi:2505] Well said, vinay. This mimsymimi guy obviously hasn't lived his life as well as he thinks if he has that sort of petty, destructive, hostile, pathetic, toxic mindset.

Meh.

Maybe if it weren't for Jim Dewar's dumb vocals ruining it. :P

Just wanted to point out that The Beach Boys only covered Barbara Ann; it's not their song. It was written by Fred Fassert and first recorded by The Regents in 1961.

Amplified hate? Atimer? Nah, man, nah. I don't know if you're listening to a bad mix or on ipod earbuds or some other crappy thing, but he very clearly says "atonal apples" and "amplified heat". When in doubt, go with what has the stronger rhyme. "Hate" and "feet"? Ehh, that's really weak compared to "Heat". Also, go with the word the actually exists and means something, like "atonal".

No, that wouldn't make much sense. If it's about Jesus, it's from a secular viewpoint.

"Nobody's sure he was sane"

Obviously, many people then, and now, think Jesus as God incarnate. And therefore are sure of His sanity.

"He was in search of an answer"
"The nature of what we are"

Jesus wasn't in search of any answer. He was/is the answer, and said so accordingly. He knows the nature of what we are, and everything else. Though I suppose you could interpret this as His "searching" for OUR "answer" to His offer of salvation.

There are few other things that don't make much sense if it's about Christ. Like, "He lived alone with his vision" and "His numbers are not the way".
