Evolution IS true. Straight up fact. People keep thinking it's open for debate because they hear "Theory of evolution". Theory, however, has more than one meaning. What is meant when people say theory of evolution is the explanation of evolution. Much as there is a theory behind gravity. It's how it works. Gravity is not a theory as though we are trying to prove it to be true, and neither is evolution. It's a fact. |

"Collective Judas" In the bible Judas is the apostle who betrays Jesus. He's referring to all the people who pose as christians but sin whenever they get the chance therefore betraying jesus in their own way. Probably a term his mother, who thought of herself as a better christian than others, used herself. |

This song is a final message to his mother Judith Marie. On the surface it sounds like a final ode to her, but listening a little more closely it seems to me that he's being sarcastic. His mother was very religious and pushed that on him, so now he's saying, 'No one is as perfectly christian as you are, go demand your entrance into heaven'. Every line in the song lines up with this theory. Even him implying that he had received her gift of light and that he would let it shine for her, from his atheist perspective would be like taking that constant indoctrination and throwing it back in her face. It's very clever, kind of mean, and kind of funny. All awesome. |
