The Lumineers – Ho Hey Lyrics 12 years ago
This song is beautiful, but sad. He is talking about how him and his ex do not belong together. He has found joy through his family -

"So show me family" - and they have helped him understand this truth.
He has also laced the song with words slandering his ex-

"HO, HEY" - releasing his anger and pain by calling her a "ho" and saying "hey", instead of a more polite greeting such as, "hello" or "hi" and instead of using terms of endearment like "dear" or "love" he insists on calling her a "ho".

Very enlightening song. I can relate.

Rihanna – Stay Lyrics 12 years ago
Obviously people do not understand the meaning of this song. There is a large amount of misinterpretation, so I will set the record straight. This song is not about wanting someone to stay...it is actually about wanting someone to leave...

"Not really sure how to feel about it"
"I want you to stay" she is obviously confused about how she feels and thus, says she wants him to stay when in reality...she doesn't want him around.

Hope you guys understand the song more now.

Macklemore – Thrift Shop Lyrics 12 years ago
I think this song is about the economic structure of society and the unjust way people can easily attain material. While there are people that actually need clothes and food and money, the artist is expressing how people in today's society who are financially well off simply go to the thrift store to blow off money as opposed to people who save up to go.

This song really applies to my life, because in my youth I couldn't afford to get a haircut and my hair was all over the place. People didn't consider what a struggle it would be to get a hair tie, but one day I found a dollar and was able to buy SIX headbands at the thrift store. One of the most memorable moments of my life.

Ludacris – Rollout (My Business) Lyrics 12 years ago
I think this song is about lost love. He felt so strongly for her, but she could not handle his love nor affection, so now he must "Roll Out". He is clearly angry and paranoid with everyone now, and doesn't trust people's life stances now "Man, that car don't come out until next year, where in the fuck did you get it?" and as a result of his distrust of people he has isolated himself without any hopes of letting people understand him... "Get out my business, my biznass
Stay the fuck up out my biznass, ah"...

Sea Wolf – Middle Distance Runner Lyrics 12 years ago
I don't think this song is about him putting the blame on her or feeling that the girl he is singing about falling short. It is about his own inability to fully devote himself to a relationship. He clearly wants a relationship - "And I'm off with a shot at the start And my legs tremble from strain" -he's off with good intentions, but doesn't have the strength to continue. Good song either way
