At first I thought this song was about a guy who let her down but keeps coming back into her life. However after I heard the second verse: "Trying not to forget Should be easier than this oh oh All the birthdays you missed I was only a kid oh oh Sorry I'm, not sorry for the times I don't reply, you'll know the reason why" In this verse she talks about this person missing birthdays and that she was only a kid so it made me think that this song could possibly be about a parent who has been in and out of her life. He/she keeps coming back only to let her down every time and so she is telling him/her to stop. |

I personally don't think this song is about infidelity. This is because he says "One love, two mouths One love, one house No shirts, no blouse Just us, you find out" This chorus I think is specifically talking about him and the woman he desires. Also he says in another verse, "These hearts adore, everyone the other beat heart is for" I think he's saying their hearts beat for each other. To me this song is about him offering all that he has to this woman, even if it's not much, "Both your hands in the holes of my sweater" |
