What you guys say can really be true, but ever since i know this song i've allways thought that this was the meaning: (This is the firt time i do this, so don't be to hard on me.) I have allways thought that it was about a relationship that has ended. They where a perfect happy (but secret) couple: (Well I held you like a lover Happy hands, your elbow in the appropriate place And we ignored our others Happy plans for that delicate look upon your face Our bodies moved and hardened Hurting parts of your garden With no room for a pardon In a place where no one knows what we have done We use cushions to cover happy glands In the mild issue of our disgrace Our minds pressed and guarded While our flesh disregarded The lack of space for the lighthearted In the boon that beats our drum) But at the end of their relationship he has hurt her bad and she left him: (Well I know I make you cry And I know sometimes you wanna die But do you really feel alive without me?) she has another lover now, but he wants to know if he makes her as happy as he did: (Do you come Together ever with him? And is he dark enough? Enough to see your light? And do you brush your teeth before you kiss? Do you miss my smell? And is he bold enough to take you on? Do you feel like you belong? And does he drive you wild? Or just mildly free? What about me?) And even though he wants her to be happy (either with him or with the other guy) he still hopes she comes back and believes that she still loves him too: (But do you really feel alive without me? If so, be free If not, leave him for me Before one of us has accidental babies For we are in love) I think the accidental babies are about the fact that he is scared that she will get pregnant with the new guy and that she will be bonded with him for the rest of her life, or that he will find somebody else before she comes back. english is not my native language. so i apologize for my grammar. :-) |
