This is my favourite love song - beautiful words and stunningly sympathetic accompanyment; how they managed to put this together amazes me, but what really makes the song is Steve's incredibly emotional vocal. This was really the last of him as he was; soon after he left the SF and began the cocaine addiction which blunted his emotions and his judgement in singing and writing. I guess all emotional people are vulnerable, which makes them susceptible to drink and drugs. |
