| Chimaira – The Flame Lyrics | 9 years ago |

This whole song is definitely a reference to Twin Peaks. (ancient spoilers:) The character Leland is possessed by a demon and abuses his daughter Laura. In the film-conclusion he beats her to death as an angel watches. Several lines in the song point to classic images from the series and film: Nothing is what it seems (the owls), the trees, Time to walk with me and the flame (fire walk with me), Didn't you know it was always me (almost a quote from Leland), as well as coming through the window, the fan and the remorse at the end. |

| The Stranglers – No More Heroes Lyrics | 12 years ago |

On the subject of Sancho Panza; he is likely mentioned a hero because in 'Don Quixote', he is fooled into believing that he is the ruler of an Island. Completely unprepared for the post, he still manages to be a just and fair ruler, until he resigns from his post because the responsibilities become too much. Power easy come upon, used for good, then passed on. Heroic, yes? |
