wouldn't surprise me if this song was about Slipknot's bassist and Corey's good friend Paul Gray. The album in which the song came from, Audio Secrecy, was dedicated to Paul Gray after his death. there are YouTube videos out there where Corey explains each song on the album, but he doesn't elaborate specifically who this song was about, just that it was about someone who he was very close to. not entirely sure, but that would be my guess.

"These two seem as smooth as silk, flush against my eyes" Corey Taylor makes reference to these scars in his book "The Seven Deadly Sins." He states that they were inflicted by one of his mother's room-mates when he was younger who used to abuse him with rings on her fingers.

Corey Taylor is nothing short of genius. As lead singer of 2 very successful bands (Slipknot and StoneSour) he's releasd 9 albums between both bands and he's also managed to put out a four- part comic book series, written one book and is releasing another shortly. anyone who thinks this guy is crazy should read his book, Seven Deadly SIns: Settling the argument between born bad and damaged good. This guys brain cogs seem to never stop turning. He's crazy genius

sorry to burst your bubble, but your comment is incorrect. the album in which "Snuff" is on, came from 'All Hope Is Gone' was released in 2008, two years BEFORE the death of bassist Paul Gray.
